Newzealand tourists visit Pochampally
It was a pleasure to welcome a group of tourists from New Zealand to Pochampally, the home of the famous Ikat sarees. The visitors were amazed by the intricate weaving techniques and the wide range of colors and designs available in the Pochampally sarees. They also had the opportunity to interact with the local weavers and learn more about the traditional methods of production.
As they browsed through the shops and markets, the tourists were struck by the versatility of the saris and the way they could be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. They decided to purchase a few saris to take back home as souvenirs and gifts for their friends and family.
Overall, it was a wonderful opportunity for the tourists to immerse themselves in the culture and history of Pochampally and the handloom industry. We hope they will continue to spread the word about these beautiful sarees and encourage others to appreciate and support the skills of the local weavers.
